garden trainsgarden train
Ah summer, a fine time to get out, enjoy the fine weather, and run your trains around the garden. See more on Timmy's adventure here.

A word of caution, I've heard the sun's UV rays will break down ABS, though there are ways of working around this problem.

  • Timmy C  - Thank you Railbricks!
A big "thanks" to the folks at Railbricks. (so this is where all the new hits are coming from!)

@oliver - YES the dogbone has gotten tiresome, but as a proof-of-concept it is a smashing success! We'll see what the 2011 garden season holds for expansion.

@Railbricks - I have developed a 100% UV Degredation proof system. I call it "a full canopy of trees". My layout receives less than an hour of spotty sunlight all day. :)

@everyone - I hope you all enjoy my efforts and have the courage to try it for yourselves!

hi does the abs track ever turn grren when its left out for along time in damp conditions or have you had any derailments due to the fact that the sun has made the rail expand or contract also it could be a nice idea to dig in the cinder/brezze blocks so that the base bords are just level with the actul ground level.

p.s amazing railway but dosnt the dog bone get boring after a while
