Weekend Inspiration Round 2

Written by Cale Leiphart on Sep 10, 2011 in - 0 Comments

Last week I highlighted two links I thought would be great inspiration for those interested in modeling railroading from the past. This week we'll swing back to the modern day for some ideas.

Railroad Picture Archives

Railroad Picture Archives .net is one of the most comprehensive sites on the Internet for railroad photos. You'll find photos here for countless locomotives and rolling stock from North America and even some stuff from abroad. Most of the photos you'll find are of modern day equipment but for the history fans there are a few older pieces to be found too.

Long Hood Forward for the Win!

Railpictures.net is one of the other great photo sites for North American railroading. Here you'll find an excellent search function allowing you to narrow down your search to railroad, specific locomotive, location, even year and photographer. Once again most of the photos you'll find are of modern day equipment but the older stuff is present as well.
