I'm back from the 2009 NMRA National Train Show in Hartford Connecticut. And It was a blast. As has become custom at the NMRA show several clubs came out and put together a large LEGO train layout for all to enjoy. The LEGO Train Layout easily drew the most attention and the crowds around the display were 4 deep at times. Among the groups represented were NELUG, The Pewaukee Road LEGO Train Line, PARLUGMENT, NCLTC, PennLUG / DelVaLUG and of course ILTCO.
LEGO set designer Jamie Berard was also there to give presentations about the new Emerald Night set which he designed. He brought several early prototypes along to demonstrate how the Emerald Night design came to be and explained the design process.
