A couple of years ago, at the Brickish Association Christmas party at Legoland Windsor, David Tabner tested out his small PF Miniland scale locomotive.
This year Stephan Sander brought his DB VT11.5 Trans Europe Express diesel multiple unit.

Unlike the standard Miniland trains, which are built on a metal base with metal wheels, Stephan has constructed the whole train from Lego, using Emerald Night wheels for their larger size.

This was always a project that I wanted to do--build miniland size trains. This is beautifully executed. How many studs between rails? 9?
Stephan's page says 9.5, but how exact this is I don't know
