Hi everybody! I noticed that this thread didn't have much recent activity. So, I thought I'd post some pics. of my 0-6-0 logging tank engine. Maybe these will inspire some builders to show off their mining/logging creations!

re: Backwoods 0-6-0

Hi Johnny,

While your post of the Backwoods 0-6-0 was from almost two years ago, it seemed like the right thread to post a picture of another 0-6-0 that I built over the weekend. It was inspired by the Stuart brand of locomotives but I took some liberties in the design. I used some tips from one of the recent Railbricks Magazine issues in the design of the drive train. I altered the design with the m-motor off-set by 1/2 stud to make allowances for the gears I used. The locomotive has plenty of power and I am pleased with how it came out. Now I just need to build a set of cars to pull and it will be ready to show at Brickfair, AL in a couple of weeks.

Thanks,

Chris Bolton
