The winners of the first Flickr LEGO Trains Group Challenge have been announced.

The wait is over! With much deliberation and much more procrastination, the AS-616 building contest has a winner. Two winners in fact. Congratulation to Cale Leiphart for the overall win. His unending attention to detail and the inclusion of innards really pushed his Pennsy AS-616 to the top, but the chosen color scheme, true to Pennsy, was uninspiring. So congratulations also to g-rat3! The wonderful representation of SP's black widow scheme in brick could not be overlooked. Congrats to Cale Leiphart and g-rat3, the winners of the first Flickr Lego Trains Group building contest!
The two winners will each receive a brand new Lego 9v motor. In addition, everyone who entered will also be getting a special engraved brick to mark the first ever Flickr Lego Trains Group building contest! All the entries were great and I enjoyed studying each and every one of them. There were many surprises and new tricks brought out for this one. I hope everyone enjoyed this contest as much as I did and I'm looking forward to the next one!
